My go-to place for spicy beef ramen. But recently, they reduced the size of the restaurant, and the food quality dropped significantly. The Spicy Ramen was still okay, but I cannot request more spices. The waitress at the cashier seems very angry as well. (Based on a few visits) 😅

Came here for lunch on a weekday, and it was my first time dining at Milan Shokudo, which I had heard offered food options similar to Saiz*riya, but a Halal version! I was quite excited to try this place, knowing I could bring my Muslim friends here! 💧 Water is complimentary and self-service. Prices for mains, such as an aglio olio, range from $6-$13, which is pretty okay. We wanted to order the lunch set deals, but the online product listing kept switching on and off. I'm not sure if it was a bug/glitch, because we couldn't order the pasta set either, even though the hot plate set was the only one listed as unavailable. Yet, when we checked with the staff again, the hot plate was back on, but the pasta set was not. Many items were also out of stock during lunch hour. We eventually gave up trying to figure it out and just ordered à la carte pasta. 🍤 Basil Prawn Pasta did not look like the photos, but it was still not bad. It leaned towards a cream sauce with basil, served with 4 shrimps and 2 salad leaves. The portion size was small, and the handmade pasta had a texture closer to Korean ramyun, which was... interesting. Rating: 3/5 🌟 🦐 The Seafood Tom Yum Pasta was pretty okay as well. The sauce had a prominent sour tang, reminiscent of Tom Yum Soup, and ingredients consisted of shrimps, clams, and scallops. Like the previous dish, the pasta was chewy and wavy, similar to Korean ramyun. Rating: 3/5 🌟 I am keen to try more dishes here in the future, even though the food wasn't particularly amazing or bad. Service-wise, I'm a little concerned because, for some reason, all the staff here looked so mopey... as if they were either really tired or dreaded working here.

Honestly, I find the food prices here a little overpriced. The prices indicated on the menu are before GST (unlike another similar food chain). Anyway, my brother and I ordered 2 mains, and it totaled $28. Thankfully, both dishes didn’t taste too bad, unlike another time at JE where the pasta was watery. I also don’t like how the tables are placed so close to each other. It’s so hard to get in and out. Imagine if you ordered free-flow drinks? The whole vibe just isn't right.

The food was truly not that bad. But service could have been better. One of our orders, the steak, was no longer available. We were able to change to the hamburger steak, but only after we had to ask the wait staff about it. This happened after two of our orders were served and we were already finished with them. Even our pizza had already been served.

The food portion at Milan Shokudo is miserable and tastes too salty. Service is also disappointing; we were not given cutlery after we were seated. We ordered 4 dishes, and none of them were edible. The salmon smelled fishy, and the meat was rough and dry. The fries were hot but oily. The dessert pizza was tough like a biscuit. We should have just gone to Saizeriya, which is better value and tastes better. Also, Saizeriya has a better drink bar.

The garlic focaccia doesn't taste like garlic focaccia; it's just white bread with fried garlic and is so hard to bite, like stone. That tomato paste with pepperoni doesn't even have any taste; it's so plain. 😔 And the chicken sausage pizza crust isn't nice. 🤢 So disappointed with this first experience. I definitely prefer Saizeriya than this. We still have to add chili sauce to the pasta to make it taste better. 😡😡

A good value meal for the family. The pizzas are good. Takoyaki with cheese is the star of the dishes tonight. However, the panini with cheese was a letdown, as I expected a cheesy, gooey cheese, but it came as cheese powder.

Eat here if you want bland, dry, crappy food at a ridiculous price of upwards of $10 before GST. Except for plain pasta at $4.90, which you might as well buy from NTUC and boil yourself. You’re better off heading to Saizeriya for better food at half the price, with a better selection of drinks and way better atmosphere and service too.

I should've trusted my instincts and avoided this place, but my partner wanted to try it. The food looks like Saizeriya's, but it's more expensive. No one was manning the front, so we waited 5 minutes before anyone appeared. The soup and pasta took 20 minutes to be served. The corn soup was awful, like blended corn bits in water, and it smelled like the hair oil used by men in the 80s. The squid rings, as expected, were tasteless and rubbery. The beef Bolognese was very salty. The 4-cheese pizza tasted all right, but the crust was like eating a biscuit. The pudding was decent. All that came to almost $50. If you're going for cheap Japanese-style Italian food, just stick with Saizeriya. It's cheaper, tastier, and has a much better menu range.

This is a strange concept: combining two different types of food in one space. On one side, there seems to be a more affordable section serving Japanese-Italian food (much like Saizera), while the other side features Michelin-star ramen. The Tempura Donburi was decent enough, but the Onion Rings were really quite bland. This place seemed to be a favourite hangout for teenagers, so be prepared for a boisterous atmosphere.
