I was waiting at the counter looking to buy some bottles of herbal tea when one of your staff, Choong Ye Ling, saw me waiting for her to place my order. Instead of stopping her errands, she continued packing the bottles while I waited patiently. I chose to not interrupt and gave her time as I wasn’t in a rush (and it looked like she’s almost done with packing). After she had finish packing the bottles from the crate, she looked up at me, extremely frustrated and perturbed with a deep frown, as if someone had offended or wronged her, and stared at me. No “hi”, “no what do you need”, nothing. I told her I needed some chrysanthemum tea and she curtly blurted “三块半”, to which I passed her a $50 note (had no spare cash on me). She then proceeded to say, in a displeased and annoyed manner “有小张的吗”, which I did not and went on to pay in store. 8 words in a transaction less than 5 minutes, you’ve managed to ruin the relative satisfactory service previous aunties (before you took over) managed to keep up. I’m sorry if you had a bad day, or had a bad customer, or are bitter about life, but please do not project your ill-mannerism to customers who have done nothing to offend you. I am not even asking you to treat a bypassing customer like a king or queen but please have basic decency and respect for others - we do not owe you a living. If this is the standard of service you think is acceptable, you ought to do much self-reflection. Terrible experience.

I went to your outlet just now to purchase Ling yang for my daughter just now as she has very bad sore throat. One gentle man in front of me also bought Ling yang for his family member with sore throat due to covid. So I asked the lady whom serviced us what is the powder she added into the Ling yang cos my daughter can’t take Chinese herds. The lady just answered me if your daughter can’t take Chinese medicine why are you coming to a 中药店?

bought 3 guiling gao, ask me want sugar syrup, I said yes.
generally don't like sugared stuff but guiling gao fairly bitter, best consumed with some sugar.
went home all no sugar syrup.
staff was mumbling to himself and my hands were full, I thought fairly straightforward just take and go, oh well.
do check before you leave disappointed!

The service is terrible. I stood for 5 minutes waiting to buy herbal tea but no one served me.

When buying herbal tea, customers don’t even ask if they don’t want to refrigerate it.
Just put it in a paper bag
On the way back, I discovered that it was not at room temperature and had to be cooled down before drinking.
🤦🏼♀️

When buying herbal tea, I didn't even think to ask if it needed refrigeration. They just put it in a paper bag. On the way back, I discovered it was not meant to be kept at room temperature and needed to be chilled before drinking. 🤦🏼♀️

Dropped by to check if they have some remedies that I was looking for. However, found some supplements for myself. Mr Peter Chai came to attend. He was friendly, patient and helpful. Gave me complimentary Vitamin C. 🤗
Would have gone here straight instead of Guardian Pharmacy. Even the "Sales Girl" at G.P had no idea what "vertigo" means. 😭🤦🏻♂️
Next time i just come back here. Places like Watson, Unity etc are pretty much over priced and contain lower percentage of ingredients. 💸💸💸

I supported HockHua lot1 frequently but is my first time met Peh Chun Hong, who is professional, knowledgeable, patience and polite; he explains on items I wish to buy with illustration of examples that is layman n easy to understand.
Wow, I really impressed by him and wish to learn more from him as I visit the outlet again. Hope the management do not transfer him to other outlet🙏🏼

Decent herb shop that you can find what you need under one roof. If you plan to visit it from time to time, recommend to get a membership from them to stretch your dollar.
