When buying herbal tea, I didn't even think to ask if it needed refrigeration. They just put it in a paper bag. On the way back, I discovered it was not meant to be kept at room temperature and needed to be chilled before drinking. πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

The service is terrible. I stood for 5 minutes waiting to buy herbal tea, but no one served me.

Decent herb shop where you can find what you need under one roof. If you plan to visit it from time to time, I recommend getting a membership from them to stretch your dollar.

I bought 3 guiling gao. I was asked if I wanted sugar syrup, and I said yes. Generally, I don't like sugared stuff, but guiling gao is fairly bitter and best consumed with some sugar. When I got home, I found all were missing the sugar syrup. The staff was mumbling to himself, and my hands were full. I thought it would be fairly straightforward to just take and go. Oh well. Do check before you leave disappointed!

I frequent HockHua Lot 1, but it was my first time meeting Peh Chun Hong, who is professional, knowledgeable, patient, and polite; he explained the items I wished to buy with illustrative examples that were layman and easy to understand. Wow, I was really impressed by him and wish to learn more from him when I visit the outlet again. I hope the management does not transfer him to other outlets πŸ™πŸΌ Please do keep the good talent you have at Lot 1. I appreciate it loads πŸ™πŸΌ Thank you, Mr. Peh! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

I dropped by to check if they had some remedies I was looking for. However, I found some supplements for myself. Mr. Peter Chai helped me. He was friendly, patient, and helpful. He even gave me complimentary Vitamin C. πŸ€— I would have gone here straight instead of Guardian Pharmacy. Even the "Sales Girl" at G.P had no idea what "vertigo" meant. πŸ˜πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Next time, I'll just come back here. Places like Watson, Unity, etc., are pretty much overpriced and contain a lower percentage of ingredients. πŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ

I went to your outlet just now to purchase Ling yang for my daughter as she has a very bad sore throat. One gentleman in front of me also bought Ling yang for his family member who had a sore throat due to COVID. So I asked the lady who served us what the powder was that she added into the Ling yang because my daughter can’t take Chinese herbs. The lady just answered me, "If your daughter can’t take Chinese medicine, why are you coming to a 中药店?"

I purchased the jelly. It tasted like it had been in the fridge for weeks. Insane! Please don't sell this kind of thing to your customer.

I was waiting at the counter, looking to buy some bottles of herbal tea, when one of your staff, Choong Ye Ling, saw me waiting. Instead of pausing her work, she continued packing the bottles while I waited patiently. I chose not to interrupt and gave her time, as I wasn’t in a rush (and it looked like she was almost done with packing). After she had finished packing the bottles from the crate, she looked up at me, extremely frustrated and perturbed, her face set in a deep frown, as if someone had offended or wronged her, and stared at me. No "hi," no "what do you need" β€” nothing. I told her I needed some chrysanthemum tea, and she curtly blurted β€œδΈ‰ε—εŠβ€, to which I passed her a $50 note (I had no spare cash on me). She then proceeded to say, in a displeased and annoyed manner, β€œζœ‰ε°εΌ ηš„ε—β€, which I did not have, and proceeded to pay in store. With just 8 words in a transaction lasting less than 5 minutes, you managed to ruin the relatively satisfactory service previous aunties (before you took over) had managed to maintain. I’m sorry if you had a bad day, or had a bad customer, or are bitter about life, but please do not project your ill manners onto customers who have done nothing to offend you. I am not even asking you to treat a passing customer like a king or queen, but please have basic decency and respect for others β€” we do not owe you a living. If this is the standard of service you think is acceptable, you ought to do some serious self-reflection. Terrible experience.
