I've had the salt-baked chicken with rice at home a few times from takeaways. It was my first time trying it in the food court. It was still as flavourful and delicious. Would recommend it 👍

This is a banger; the meepok and the super tender, explosive flavour of the chicken combine to make this dish heavenly. The tangy, citric chili sauce is a cherry on top. This whole set (without the drink) cost me $8.50, and it's 100% worth it.

Just had a dumpling soup with noodles. Had to bring it back to add soup as it had become floury. Even after adding the soup, it is still the same. And the dumplings were not cooked right as the skin was semi-hard. Please have your own tasting.

I've had the mee pok with soup in a pot thrice, and the standard has been consistent. The noodles were cooked nicely and tossed with the classic sauce. I also tried their Salted Baked Chicken Thigh for an additional $6. It was too salty when eaten alone and would probably be better with rice or porridge.

Everything was really tasty. Noodles had bite; chilli sauce was flavourful; salt-baked chicken tasted good. Downside is the chicken was very cold. Would have been nice if they gave it a bit of a reheat. Also, a bit heavy on MSG.

Rude staff. A male Malaysian server (looks like he's in his 30s), taking orders, makes you wait in line for 5 minutes even with no queue. He speaks rudely, and the preparation is delayed. I suggest you don't buy because you most likely won’t have the appetite to eat it afterwards.

I had to eat at this food court because my father wanted to. So I looked at the Google Maps ratings. Almost every stall was bad. Only this stall had many reviews and a high rating. Pros: Tender, delicious chicken. Cons: $7.60 is expensive. Noodles were oily.

Taste-wise, it was a good meal, but the portions could really be improved. The noodles were such a small portion that they were gone in a few mouthfuls. I could hold the contents in one hand. Pork ball soup could do with more vegetables for the price. Salt-baked chicken is so-so, but it goes very well with the chilli sauce.

Tried the salt-baked chicken rice set from Lam’s Noodle & Salt Baked Chicken. It came neatly wrapped, featuring a portion of tender salt-baked chicken, white rice, and a few slices of cucumber and cherry tomato for garnish. The chicken was moist and mildly seasoned—more comforting than flavourful. The rice was soft and lightly infused with chicken juices, but nothing particularly aromatic. The portion size was decent for the price, and while the overall experience didn’t quite wow, it delivered a satisfying, simple meal. If you’re looking for a fuss-free, homely dish in a clean food court setting, this will do the trick. Just don’t expect bold flavours or complexity.

Decided to give this stall a go. I had salt-baked chicken with noodles for $7+. The noodles were tasty with perfect texture. The sauce was the same as that used for fishball noodles. However, the portion size was on the smaller side. It was my first time eating salt-baked chicken. The chicken was tender and moist, and very well seasoned. The seasoning was flavourful and had a slightly herbal taste. The sauce would go well with rice; it was quite salty on its own. Highly recommend. I would definitely come again.
