Unpleasant experience at CBTL Lot One! If you see a customer waiting to place an order, shouldn’t you attend to them? Not chit-chat and take your time? That’s what staff Lana and Nora did. Also, please teach staff Lana what’s the difference between Nets & Credit payment. I clearly mentioned Nets payment but she made me tap the credit payment TWICE. I worked at a coffee shop place, and it’s really not hard to differentiate between credit and nets payment. Also, if you want to talk about the customers, make sure you do it discreetly or even better tell them to their face! Not Lana going to Nora to talk about their customers. 🥹😵

Located at Lot One, travel through the North South MRT red line and alight at Choa Chu Kang. It is right at it's exit. Coffee Bean is at Level 1 of the Lot One mall. Design of this outlet is great but unfortunately they have implemented for dine-in customers to NOT be allowed the use of laptops or tablets. Ironically I can see dine-in customers bring out a book to read or study, even using of mobile phones but just no tablets or laptops. Not sure what's their intention with this restriction. The attitude of their employees at this outlet are distasteful. I hope the management will look into this. Coffee Bean used to be my go to choice as their coffee selection are suited to my taste if compared to Starbucks. After stumbling upon such implementation at this outlet, I turned around and walked right out of the mall, went across the road to enter Starbucks where they have ample space. They have ample tables for the use of laptops and book reading but they too have a NO studying is allowed policy. Compared to Starbucks being more understanding and flexible, this is so unexpected from Coffee Bean.

I always like coffee bean. This time I ordered chai latte and cafe latte, both were super hot that I had to open the lid to let it cool down before I can sip again. I almost get my lip burnt by the super hot drink.

28 Dec 2023 Ordered Bfast waffle platter & egg Ben. The waffles were rock dried n tasteless , scrambled eggs were dried n tasteless (Mac bfast scrambled egg can do better than them 100%) Egg Ben way too runny. The bread soaked in the sea of runny eggs. Feedback to the staff on the waffles but they couldn’t care much “oh ok” was the reply. Honestly never tasted such horrible waffles that’s why I’m giving such strong feedback Not my first time taking coffee bean bfast and this is the worst branch of my experience. Total $37 Utterly not worth

My lucky day, attentive, patient and helpful staff with name tag HAKIMI took my order thru my app as a CBTL member I claimed 1 for 1 drink $8.50 and 1 for 1 pizza $12 🍕 hassle free! Once awhile a great promo come by and customer service retains customers and members. The place is clean, cosy and spacious.

I pity the only ONE barrista preparing the drinks on a weekend at Lot 1 branch. See the long queue waiting.....zzzz Waited more than 30 minutes for my drinks!

Dropped by this Coffee Bean outlet at Lot One on a weekday afternoon for a mid-day caffeine break, and it turned out to be a surprisingly cozy spot despite the mall crowd. 🪑 Ambience & Layout Tucked along the side of the mall's main atrium, the seating here is a mix of comfy sofas and café tables — enough space for individuals, couples, or small study groups. It’s open-concept (no walls), so expect mall noise, but the café somehow maintains a chill, relaxed energy. The air-conditioning was just right — a relief from Singapore’s humidity. ☕ Drinks & Food Ordered a Vanilla Cold Brew Latte and a chicken mushroom fusilli pasta. The drink was strong and smooth with a good balance of sweetness — no burnt taste, which I appreciate. The pasta came piping hot, creamy, and well-portioned for the price (~$11.90). You could tell it had been reheated but not in a bad way — still tasty and comforting. Also grabbed a slice of Chicago Cheesecake to go with it. It was soft, rich, and not overly sweet — paired perfectly with my drink. Honestly, their dessert quality has stayed consistent over the years. 💡 Service Staff were polite and efficient. Orders came out within 5–7 minutes even though a small queue had formed. Tables were clean, and one of the staff was going around clearing trays without delay. 📶 Wi-Fi & Power Yes to free Wi-Fi, and yes to a couple of power plugs near the outer seating. I saw a few students quietly working on laptops — seemed like a decent spot for remote work if you’re not on calls. 🧾 Overall Verdict Coffee Bean at Lot One is a solid choice for a casual catch-up, solo work session, or just escaping the MRT crowd. While it's not the quietest branch, it has good food, better coffee, and a familiar vibe. Ideal for westies who want their caffeine fix without trekking into town.

Nice coffee place which can get pretty crowded in evenings. Nice place in weekday mornings where the crowd is much lesser compared to evenings and eeekends.

Friendly staff helped me with the Coffee Bean app. Great place to enjoy your favourite cup of Java.
