Friendly staff helped me with the Coffee Bean app. It's a great place to enjoy your favourite cup of Java.

Unpleasant experience at CBTL Lot One! If you see a customer waiting to place an order, shouldn’t you attend to them instead of chit-chatting and taking your time? That’s what staff Lana and Nora did. Also, please teach staff Lana the difference between Nets and Credit payment. I clearly mentioned Nets payment, but she made me tap the Credit payment TWICE. I worked at a coffee shop, and it’s really not hard to differentiate between Credit and Nets payment. Also, if you want to talk about the customers, make sure you do it discreetly or, even better, tell them to their face! However, Lana went to Nora to talk about their customers. 🥹😵

28 Dec 2023 Ordered a breakfast waffle platter and Eggs Benedict. The waffles were rock-hard, dry, and tasteless. The scrambled eggs were also dry and tasteless (McDonald's breakfast scrambled eggs are 100% better). The Eggs Benedict were way too runny; the bread was soaked in a sea of runny eggs. I gave feedback to the staff about the waffles, but they couldn't care less; their reply was simply, "Oh, okay." Honestly, I've never tasted such horrible waffles, which is why I'm giving such strong feedback. This isn't my first time having Coffee Bean breakfast, and this is the worst branch I've experienced. Total $37 Utterly not worth it.

I always like The Coffee Bean. This time, I ordered a chai latte and a cafe latte. Both were super hot, and I had to open the lid to let them cool down before I could sip them. I almost burned my lip on the super hot drinks.

Located at Lot One, take the North-South MRT red line and alight at Choa Chu Kang. It is right at its exit. Coffee Bean is located on Level 1 of the Lot One mall. The design of this outlet is great, but unfortunately, they have implemented a policy prohibiting the use of laptops or tablets for dine-in customers. Ironically, I can see dine-in customers bringing out a book to read or study, or even using mobile phones, but not tablets or laptops. I am not sure what their intention is with this restriction. The attitude of their employees at this outlet is distasteful. I hope the management will look into this. Coffee Bean used to be my go-to choice as their coffee selection is suited to my taste compared to Starbucks. After stumbling upon such an implementation at this outlet, I turned around and walked right out of the mall and went across the road to Starbucks, where they have ample space. They have ample tables for laptops and reading books, but they too have a "no studying allowed" policy. Compared to Starbucks, which is more understanding and flexible, this was so unexpected from Coffee Bean.

I pity the only one barista preparing drinks on a weekend at the Lot 1 branch. Just look at the long queue waiting... I waited more than 30 minutes for my drinks!

Nice coffee place which can get pretty crowded in evenings. Nice place in weekday mornings where the crowd is much less compared to evenings and weekends.

My lucky day! Attentive, patient, and helpful staff named Hakimi took my order through my app. As a CBTL member, I claimed a '1 for 1' drink ($8.50) and a '1 for 1' pizza ($12 🍕) hassle-free! Once in a while, a great promo comes by, and customer service retains customers and members. The place is clean, cosy, and spacious.

It's a big store. There are many seats. Mornings are not crowded. It gets a bit crowded mostly from the afternoon onward. They play Class 95FM music. Not much new on the menu. Many come here to relax or study. There are many staff members, and the service is fast.

Dropped by this Coffee Bean outlet at Lot One on a weekday afternoon for a midday caffeine break, and it turned out to be a surprisingly cozy spot despite the mall crowd. 🪑 Ambience & Layout Tucked along the side of the mall's main atrium, the seating here is a mix of comfy sofas and café tables — enough space for individuals, couples, or small study groups. It’s open-concept (no walls), so expect mall noise, but the café somehow maintains a chill, relaxed energy. The air-conditioning was just right — a relief from Singapore’s humidity. ☕ Drinks & Food Ordered a Vanilla Cold Brew Latte and a chicken mushroom fusilli pasta. The drink was strong and smooth with a good balance of sweetness — no burnt taste, which I appreciate. The pasta came piping hot, creamy, and well-portioned for the price (~$11.90). You could tell it had been reheated but not in a bad way — still tasty and comforting. Also grabbed a slice of Chicago Cheesecake to go with it. It was soft, rich, and not overly sweet — paired perfectly with my drink. Honestly, their dessert quality has stayed consistent over the years. 💡 Service Staff were polite and efficient. Orders came out within 5–7 minutes even though a small queue had formed. Tables were clean, and one of the staff was going around clearing trays without delay. 📶 Wi-Fi & Power Free Wi-Fi is available, and there are a couple of power plugs near the outer seating. I saw a few students quietly working on laptops — seemed like a decent spot for remote work if you’re not on calls. 🧾 Overall Verdict Coffee Bean at Lot One is a solid choice for a casual catch-up, solo work session, or just escaping the MRT crowd. While it's not the quietest branch, it has good food, better coffee, and a familiar vibe. Ideal for westies who want their caffeine fix without trekking into town.
