The female Pharmacist on duty on April 19, 2024, at 16:15 was very professional and caring. I want to appreciate her and encourage her to keep up the good work!

The staff there are quite curt and black-faced, I don’t know why. The promoter was helpful, but the Unity staff themselves were very unhelpful and quite abrupt, as if you owe them just for asking questions. If customers knew all your rules, regulations, or products, then we could be retailers ourselves; there would be no need to ask you. Also, the shop is not very well stocked. Stock is limited, and items sell out frequently. No wonder people go to Guardian or Watsons to buy instead of here.

I share the sentiment regarding how some aunties can act around customers. They have their own temperament, but I still appreciate them being in the workforce. I remember there was a Filipino guy working here many years ago. I thought he was Thai because his skin was very fair. He would always come up to me (and all customers) all smiles and greetings. I wonder where that man is. Also, the prices seemed lower than the rest, and Lot 1 was big and had more items and variety to choose from. Please bring back the Filipino man with great customer service. I don't see him in other shops anymore either, just all aunties, that's all.

I bought a few supplements and didn't realise one was due to expire in 6 months until Maina, the cashier, switched it for one with a longer expiration date for me. 👍🏻

The Pharmacist was professional and attended to my needs. Excellent counter service, too. No problems finding what I wanted.

There were two female Unity staff members present when I visited on July 2, 2024, at 6:06 PM. The Malay staff member was professional. The Tamil staff member, who was at the cashier, seemed to be daydreaming. I was queuing at the cashier, but when it was my turn, she refused to serve me and instead asked the customer behind me to come forward. It needed the help of the Malay staff to tell her that I was indeed in the queue, and she reluctantly served me. 😡😡

Good customer service from the staff, but the management should seriously consider hiring better pharmacists. The one on duty today was extremely racist and did not even bother to attend to us, despite our standing there for a few minutes, looking at the medications. She spoke to us like we were illiterates and did not bother giving us any additional information about the medicine we were inquiring about. She was very rude and curt, and she made us feel like we were bothering her. I don’t understand how she can be hired as a professional when she displays such an attitude towards minority races. I really hope the management can look into this matter and hire better pharmacists who are willing to provide help to customers.

I visited the pharmacy on 17th June and was genuinely impressed by the excellent service I received. The pharmacist Jin Ning was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain how to use the rash cream medication. She patiently answered all my questions and made sure I understood the correct usage, timing, and potential side effects. Her guidance gave me a lot of confidence in managing my condition. It’s rare to come across such caring and informative service—highly recommended!

I visited Lot 1 Unity on March 29, 2025, to buy a supplement to help with wound recovery and boost my immune system. Unfortunately, the newly hired pharmacist on duty was mocking me along with the Malay Unity staff, showing a lack of care and respect. However, the Holistic Way promoter provided excellent service and proved to be trustworthy. She not only guided me to the counter for payment but also helped me place the item in my bag, knowing that I couldn’t squat due to my surgery and was experiencing severe bleeding. She even advised me to rest at home and take medical leave. I truly appreciate her kindness and professionalism. Unity Pharmacy should consider hiring better staff, particularly their Unity staff, as the newly hired pharmacist’s behavior was unacceptable. Customers deserve respect and proper service.

I went to Unity Pharmacy at Lot 1 on March 29, 2025, and was very upset with the service. The new pharmacist, a lady, was disrespectful, and the Unity promoter staff—a Malay lady and a Tamil lady—were laughing at customers and talking behind their backs. This only made things worse for people who were already sick. I didn’t say anything to them and just ignored it, but it’s hard to ignore such unprofessional behavior. The only person who treated me well was the promoter from Holistic Way. She was kind, helpful, and showed respect. Unity Pharmacy really needs to hire better staff. If this keeps happening, it will harm their reputation. Customers deserve respect and should be able to shop without being treated badly.
