One of the best Kueh Chap in CCK. Reasonable priced and portion. The pig innards and skin are tender and flavourful. Complement with their chili to add more kick. The yam rice is a bit dry and lacking yam flavour. Nevertheless it is still highly recommended.

FAKE ADVERTISING!!!
On 28th May 2025, my family visited Lot1 and had our late lunch at the Food Junction at Lvl 4.
After our Meal, we were planning to get some desserts from the desserts stall as one of the huge poster had caught my eye. "You Know You Want It" with a Giant image of Waffles with Ice Cream. I queued and after a few customers it was my turn and so I ordered. To my surprise, the cashier told me and I quote "No sell waffle" and left me hanging and served the next customer. I even saw the waffle maker at the back and that left me clueless with the answer that she gave.
I'm in the service line and that's no way how u treat a customer. I looked for the Manager and when I found him and asked about the waffles, he replied to me laughing that it has been months since they stop selling Waffles.
By then I know that he can't be bothered with "Bo Chup" attitude
We live in the North area of Singapore, seldom do we visit the West side. How do you expect us to know?
Anyways not gonna come back to this place or to any other Food Junction/Food Republic

Weather is freaking hot these days, we came here at around 2pm+, and there were still a lot of people having their meals at the food hall. Need to spend a bit of time to find an empty table.
The atmosphere is pretty good, table seating are well placed and not that squeezy. Everyone can have their own small space.
We have already had our lunch, dropped by to have dessert here. We ordered Ice Kachang to cool down ourselves from the terrible heat. One bowl selling at $2.60, it was served with quite a big portion of red bean, jelly and 3 atap seeds. Red bean was mildly sweet and soft, atap seeds were soft too. Quite a pleasant dessert to have during a hot day~

Spacious layout with many choices of food. Lots of seats when I visited. The premise is clean and bright. Really conducive for dining. There is a high selection but me and my wife settled for a simple Chinese dessert of Tao Shaun and red bean soup. We enjoyed a relaxing tea break. There was no crowd but people kept streaming in. The layout is better than most other food courts. Certainly this is one of the exceptional one. We loved it.

It was crowded at around 11:30am, but there’s still seats available. Or you can share table with other diners.

The food court looks nicely decorated and new. It even has a centralized area for picking up halal/non-halal cutlery, instead of from each stall. Pepper Lunch always tastes good, so there's quite a queue. I'm satisfied with my chicken pepper rice dinner. The salted baked chicken rice was ordinary, though. The only bad thing is no one seems to be cleaning the tables.

Jan 2025:
5 stars for the carrot cake store. Only a few stores live up to Food Junction's overall rating, lol. The rest are rather poor.
Carrot cake is still delicious as ever. Best in the northwest area that's close to me, in my opinion. I think they changed hands a couple of times. Now it's tended to by nice, friendly Malays. They marinate the carrot cake in sesame oil, which gives it more flavor.
The salmon from the Korean bento store is pathetic. It cost me $10.90 for the beef salmon combo. Not going to order again :(
Last orders are at 9 PM. After that, all the stalls are closed.
24 March 2023 update:
The cook and cashier for the carrot cake stall changed. The cook is a younger man now; he used to be an elderly uncle. The cashier is not as friendly. Carrot cake tastes somewhat different. Quantity for $5.50 is still good.
1 Jan 2023 Update:
5 stars for the carrot cake store. The cashier is friendly; she recommended putting a bit of chili for taste, although I usually don't take chili. The small $5.50 portion was a bit small for the price. The $6.80 portion is a lot.
The fish soup store, #02 Grouper Fish Soup, is excellent too. 8 pieces of big, fresh, meaty fish. I requested meesua, and the uncle joked that it's my birthday haha.
Saba fish from the Japanese store is not good :<.

Review is only based on JJ Japanese store.
Got the teriyaki chicken rice set. Portion is like a kids' meal :') The difference between the photo and actual portion was significant, though.
Anyway, isn't Japanese teriyaki chicken supposed to be grilled, not deep-fried? The chicken doesn't have much taste, and the rice has zero taste (It doesn't taste like Japanese rice, nor does it taste like normal rice. It just tastes like nothing, HAHAH, that's the best way I can describe it). The saving grace was the miso soup, which had some flavour.
Maybe their other items will be better. But otherwise, if you want similar items, I recommend getting them from the Korean stall instead, as the portions look bigger and seem tastier as well (my family bought from their stall). The price is slightly higher, but at least your food won't taste like nothing 👨🏻🦯
Previous reviews for this stall were bad, but I felt like having Japanese food, so I got it anyway. Don't make the same mistake as me.

When I was here, I had the Yong Tau Foo, which I would say had pretty good flavor. However, it seemed rather expensive at $1 per ingredient (I can't justify $1 for a single mushroom or a few strands of vegetables). The ladies were also quite rude, and they could afford to be nicer to the customers.
The kopi C peng also lacked "oomph" and it felt very watered down, even though I did not ask for it to be thinned out.
The cutlery and crockery situation was also rather confusing and not well stocked. However, other than that, it was a pretty standard experience in a heartland mall.
