Food Junction food court in CCK Lot One shopping mall. Food here is so-so and expensive, but there's no other choice as there aren't many eating places near the CCK MRT/LRT station. On weekdays after 2 PM, this place is still very crowded, and it's not easy to find a seat for dining in. This Monday afternoon was no different; the food court was still packed after 2 PM. I saw three joined tables with outside food (refer to picture). The aunties (food court workers) said all were occupied. Customers had to walk away and try to find another seat, but all were packed. I just felt bad for the customers who walked away, and I'm not sure if food court workers should eat their lunch in their office or if they should occupy food court seats when it is packed with customers.

Old street style, like Singapore in the '60s and '70s.
Nice atmosphere. There are a few corners for taking photos.

I honestly don't do Google reviews, but this is ridiculous. On 24th July 2025 (Thursday), I visited the food junction at Lot One for dinner. I had great Pepper Lunch and a coffee from the drink stall. Then I decided to get some dessert. So I went to the dessert stall and ordered a Mango Ice Cream dessert. I requested extra ice and paid at the cashier before waiting for my order to be made.
In front of me was an elderly lady (Lady) who ordered Ice Jelly with Mango. Then Auntie, making the dessert, put milk in the ice with the mango topping. Lady did not want milk in her dessert and emphasized that many times after seeing Auntie put the milk. Instead of apologizing or showing any remorse, Auntie rebutted and insisted that Lady had not informed her not to put the milk. After a few exchanges, Auntie set aside the half-made dessert and proceeded to remake the order.
When it was my turn for my order, Auntie made the ice base, but instead of making the order like usual, she scooped out the mango and ice from the previous half-made bowl and put it into my dessert bowl. When I voiced my concerns, Auntie ignored me many times until I raised my voice and she finally looked at me. At this point, she had already placed the ice cream on the dessert. Instead of asking what's wrong, she asked expectantly, "You still want the extra ice?"
Then I complained about her using leftover toppings from a used bowl and putting them onto my dessert. At which, Auntie gave excuses and claimed, "No lah, where got? I just taking the spoon." And, "No lah, I take from this bucket (of stored mango)." I pointed out that I saw her take out the toppings from that rejected bowl and put them onto my bowl. She ignored me and asked the uncle who was after me if he wanted the bowl of dessert, which he gladly accepted.
So I stood at the side, expecting her to remake my dessert, which I had already paid for. But instead, she proceeded to ignore me and continued to serve the next five customers after me, even taking the order of a customer when she was "done" making the dessert orders. That was when I had enough and asked outright, "Auntie, you don't want to make my order, ah?" At this point, she grudgingly looked at me and asked what dessert I had ordered. Then she made me a measly little bowl of dessert (mind you, it cost $3.60 when it normally costs $3.20 or less at a kopitiam). The ice wasn't even touching the rim of the bowl. The spoon was literally the normal takeaway spoon. If it looks big in the photo, what does that say about the expensive dessert?
I am appalled by the grossness of this service, attitude, and overall quality of this stall, but more specifically, this Auntie. Since they already remade the bowl for the previous lady, what makes them think they have a right to reuse food that was set aside? I expect a reply on this comment, because how can you just let this kind of disgusting behavior slide?

Tried A-PO Hokkien Mee at Lot One’s Food Junction: Sadly, a Miss for Me
Spotted a queue at A-PO Hokkien Mee while at Lot One and decided to join in, hoping to find a hidden gem. The stall’s name and visuals promised a comforting plate of classic Hokkien Mee.
Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The noodles were bland, the broth lacked depth, and there was no signature wok hei or fragrance that usually makes this dish shine. While the prawns and ingredients were fresh, the overall taste was underwhelming and felt like it missed the soul of a good Hokkien Mee.
For those who love bold, savoury, umami-rich Hokkien Mee – this might not hit the mark.
Will be exploring other options next time. Open to recommendations if you know a spot nearby that does it right!

One of the best Kueh Chap in CCK. Reasonably priced and portioned. The pig innards and skin are tender and flavourful. Pair it with their chili to add more kick. The yam rice is a bit dry and lacking yam flavour. Nevertheless, it is still highly recommended.

Today, it is less crowded, and there are plenty of seats. I am disappointed with the food here; it has no taste. But the Kopi O feels good. 😊
*Kopi O price: $1.80 per cup (normal)

I ordered Kimchi Chicken Soup but was so disappointed with the amount of chicken pieces. They were like leftover small pieces of chicken. I went back to the stall, and the kitchen staff added more chicken, which were also tiny pieces. The second picture showed the total amount of chicken I had. Taste-wise, it was average.

FAKE ADVERTISING!!!
On 28th May 2025, my family visited Lot1 and had our late lunch at the Food Junction at Level 4.
After our meal, we were planning to get some desserts from the dessert stall, as one of the huge posters had caught my eye. "You Know You Want It" with a giant image of waffles with ice cream. I queued, and after a few customers, it was my turn, and I ordered. To my surprise, the cashier told me, and I quote, "No sell waffle," and left me hanging and served the next customer. I even saw the waffle maker at the back, which left me clueless given her answer.
I'm in the service line, and that's no way to treat a customer. I looked for the manager, and when I found him and asked about the waffles, he replied, laughing, that it had been months since they stopped selling waffles.
By then, I knew that he couldn't be bothered with a "Bo Chup" attitude.
We live in the North area of Singapore; seldom do we visit the west side. How do you expect us to know?
Anyway, I'm not going to come back to this place or to any other Food Junction/Food Republic.

The weather is freaking hot these days. We came here at around 2 PM, and there were still a lot of people having their meals at the food hall. It took a bit of time to find an empty table.
The atmosphere is pretty good. Table seating is well-placed and not too cramped, allowing everyone to have their own small space.
Having already had our lunch, we dropped by to have dessert here. We ordered Ice Kachang to cool ourselves down from the terrible heat. At $2.60 a bowl, it was served with quite a big portion of red bean, jelly, and three atap seeds. The red bean was mildly sweet and soft, and the atap seeds were soft too. Quite a pleasant dessert to have during a hot day.

Spacious layout with many food choices. Lots of seats were available when I visited. The premises are clean and bright, very conducive for dining. There is a wide selection, but my wife and I settled for a simple Chinese dessert of Tao Shaun and red bean soup. We enjoyed a relaxing tea break. There was no crowd, yet people kept streaming in. The layout is better than most other food courts. Certainly, this is one of the exceptional ones. We loved it.
