I used to find their products ok. But in recent months and years, the quality of the products they carry falls short of acceptable standards, e.g. a ruler with blurred markings

Used to be better, store size shrink down by a lot, very limited variety. Go woodlands or westgate one would be better for variety

Staff need training in customer service. Very very poor customer service and product knowledge. They don't seem to know anything when approached. Cashiers very slow, resulting in long queue. At times, the cashiers can be very rude and like to hard sell cook books and even sauces during check-out at counters.

Cashier didn’t ask if i was a member like they usually do and when I gave her my card (right away) said she already made the bill so I cant use my membership. This all happened in a minute cause she was busy talking to her coworker while i was checking out. I was annoyed but didnt say anything and just paid anyways - but please like you always ask for the membership before making the bill I thought this was common sense

casher ignored me and tended to another customer. ignoring me entirely even though i came first???

This is the second time I am experiencing poor customer service from the same person, Susan Ontann. While flashing the membership on my phone, she just asked me to tab myself instead of picking up tge machine to scan from my phone. Her tone of voice is unfriendly as well. I wonder why such a person is even in the customer service line.

The cashier ignored me and tended to another customer. They completely ignored me, even though I came first!

Decently located with amenities nearby. Being situated in a shopping mall with the neighboring MRT station and Bus Interchange, this allows for ease of access. The unit is located quite close to the entrances as well, only needing to go up the escalator about 2-3 times. There is quite a wide range of selections, ranging but not limited to electronics, books, stationery, and some tidbits. Overall one of the better popular shops if you are planning to purchase items.

It is a convenient place to get stationaries and textbook for the school year. There are many different books offered for purchase, such as story books for both children and adults. The service here is generally good. However, there is limited cashier area and usually during peak times such as school holidays it takes around 10 minutes stuck in the queue to purchase the item. Overall it is a good shopping experience and I would definitely come back again.

Highly recommended to buy in bundles. Some assessment books has 25% off when bought in 3 or more, so plan your purchase before buying. POSB Everyday Card has voucher for over $100 purchases, so buy everything you need in one visit instead of going a few times.

Some popular bookstores have closed down in Singapore. Thank GOD this one at LOT 1 still in operation. Managed to buy organiser for 2024.

Really like coming to this store.. there’s a staff called Lim who is very helpful. Lim came to ask if we needed help, and shared the assessment books they have in store. Never got this experience from other Popular bookstores and wanted to compliment Lim by writing to Popular but he humbly said there’s no need to. Kudos to Lim and so the least I could do is to leave a review here.
