Shore Theatre (Choa Chu Kang Lot 1 Shopping Centre): A Convenient and Comfortable Movie Experience (4/5 Stars)

Donkey and I were in the mood for a movie treat, and we decided to cycle from Punggol to Jurong Jem for the movie. Unfortunately, we found out that the cinema was closed down. We decided to head to Choa Chu Kang Lot 1 Shopping Centre to catch a movie at their Shore Theatre instead.
When we reached the theatre, it was a small counter, but the lady server was very kind and helped us pick a movie time that was closest to what we wanted. We got there around 6 PM, and there was a movie starting at 6:40 PM.
After the movie, a really nice worker from the theatre guided us to the lift because the escalators were only going up, and we needed to get our trifold bike down to level 1. He even pointed out the exit that was only for theatre patrons. We good experience in this theatre.The air conditioning within the theatre was just right too.

would really give a 0 star if possible but whatever this specific staff here are really rude and annoying I don't understand why they keep shouting at people like?? the queue for popcorn there this staff screaming for no reason like calm down and take it slow? and also why scream when u can talk nicely to others..literally made us miss a part of the movie lol. l would recommend u not to sit at the top row if uw to be disturbed by the staffs opening and closing the door. Def not coming here agn

Let’s talk about Dania at the cinema—because her attitude was absolutely unacceptable. All she had to do was take an order, yet she acted like it was the most painful task in the world. The constant eye-rolling, the cold tone, and the miserable expression on her face made it clear she didn’t want to be there—and honestly, it showed.
Is taking an order really that hard? Or does she genuinely believe that this kind of behavior meets Shawn Theatres’ customer service standards? If so, that’s pathetic. Working in customer service means interacting with people respectfully. If she can’t handle that, maybe she’s in the wrong job.
People pay good money to enjoy their time at the cinema—not to deal with rude, unprofessional staff who act like they’re doing you a favor by doing the bare minimum. Get it together, because this kind of attitude drives customers away

Love going to Shaw cinema!
Except the parking space is so cramped that I got to wait for the next car tinexit before getting in my car. Don't park in between.

Theatres at Lot 1 are small and cosy. Seats are comfortable.

The place is clean and nice. The staff, Aidil, is very friendly and approachable.

Friendly staff, nice premises. I left something behind, but the staff displayed great integrity and held onto it for me (I did not manage to catch his name, but I believe it could have been Francis)! I am very glad to have the cinema so close to my place.

Recently visited on 13 April 2025. Staff here is friendly and goes above and beyond to provide stellar service. It was a really pleasant experience, thanks to the staff working there on the night of 13 April.

A female staff member wearing glasses was very impatient and rude, and kept shouting non-stop. She also kept opening and closing the cinema door during the movie. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to be interrupted in the middle of your movie.
