All these years, Dian Xiao Er remains a reliable choice, synonymous with its renowned herbal roast duck and Mongolian pork ribs. While the herbal roast duck lived up to its reputation during my recent visit to this outlet, the Mongolian pork ribs didn't quite reach the heights of past experiences. However, the Iberico char siew and Lei Cha Fan here proved to be delightful surprises instead. The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming which makes for a great dining experience.

Two years ago, I ordered from 店小二 and honestly, the taste didn’t leave a good impression. But I decided to give it another try recently—and I’m so glad I did! The taste brought back memories, just like what I had years ago, but this time it truly hit the spot. I enjoyed it so much I’m already back for the second time this week. Well done to the team for keeping the flavor authentic and consistent! Special thanks to Christine and all the service staff who was wonderful !!

Popular Chinese restaurant specialising in roasted duck (3 herbal flavours) and other Chinese dishes like soup, stir fry, vegetables, meat and seafood dishes.
Only bear bug I have is they need most of the party to be present before allowing the party to be seated. To bypass this will be to tell them we will go ahead and order without waiting further.
Dishes are served really very fast so a family of 10 can finish in an hour. Loads of different dishes to cater to whole family. Perennial favourite is of course the duck.
There are 3 big tables for this branch for party of 10.
Other branches at Hillion mall at JEM shows the popularity of this restaurant.
There’s a loyalty program which kinda causes u to go back a little too often due to the vouchers given which can’t be combined in a single visit.

Paid S$134.53 for 4 persons dinner. The skin of the roast duck was crispy and the meat was tender and flavourful. The marmite chicken was tasty. The broth of the stewed pork ribs with yam and mushroom was flavourful too. But the pork ribs were slightly hard. The fatty char siew has a rich, savory, and sweet taste. The kang kong was ok. Service was friendly as the waitress explained patiently the benefits of being a member and how to place order in order to utilise the $10 discount voucher.

Minus one star for the dropping quality of rice.
The first time I tasted the rice years ago, it was superb. Every grain was perfect, and it was delicious in its own. Now, you could easily spot many broken grains, and that affected the overall texture. For a bowl of rice that cost almost $2, I expect better.
The other dishes were well done, including the side dishes, which were surprisingly tasty. The azhar was tangy yet spicy and sweet, and the crunch of the vegetables in the mouth made it hard not to go for more mouthfuls. The abalone mushroom was well marinated, and the side dishes were a steal if you go for the promotion.
The curry fish tail was welcome. Instead of the usual fish head, the meat of the fish tail was more delicate, and to make things better, there is a great reduction in the amount of bones. The sauce was rich while not overpowering, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves curry fish head.
The duck wings were a little too dry and chewy for my liking. While the char siew had a nice fats to meat ratio, the sauce was on the sweeter side, and it lacked the aroma of the typical charcoal grilled meat that one would expect.
The other dishes were great, and service was prompt too. Overall, this is a zi char place with a good standard for food.

The sauce for the Dang Gui duck was delectable (4 stars for the food in general). Although the portion for the duck was slightly small. The E-fu noodles were not bad but nothing spectacular. The tofu with minced pork and the sea cucumber met the expected quality and standard from a Chinese restaurant. The price was slightly high given the portion sizes. It cost $110 for 4 dishes on GrabFood. I felt that the $110 could be better spent on other food.

The roasted duck is great. It has a strong danggui flavor, and the skin is crispy. I liked the char siew as it is fatty and flavorful. Maybe a bit sweet for some people. The vegetables are good too. Overall, some dishes are a must-try, though not all are equally good. No reservations are accepted; you queue for a number. Membership includes a duck and a voucher.

Food is excellent. We purchased the lunch set ($36.80 ++ for 2 pax). The spread was great, and the portion was just nice for us.
The staff were extremely friendly and provided a warm atmosphere for us.

Really enjoyed our meal with quality food. Not only was their signature herbal duck excellent, but their other dishes were also tasty and not too salty.
Excellent service was provided by Ms Tan Bee Yian. She went above and beyond, attending to our needs and making sure our baby was well taken care of. Her service was very genuine and attentive. 👍

Really good food! My mom and I frequent Dian Xiao Er for its duck, and the quality has always been excellent. We love the Ten Wonders Duck and always order it 😋 Mom loves the Chicken in Chinese Wine!! The Black Vinegar Pig Trotter is also very good!!!! 💕💕💕💕 Please try all of the above. You won’t regret it.
