I get doormats, frying pans, saucepans, and aromatherapy oils from Japan Home. I am not a member yet, but I must take time out to apply for membership. Japan Home at West Mall is bigger than the one at Yew Tee Point.

The business appeared to have deteriorated, with many outlets putting up clearance sales, but not with real clearance prices. Stuff is strewn all over, and staff are not exactly helpful.

Good bargain, but the only setback is that they shouldn't have a string tied across one small corner for stock checking. No staff was even there, and I wanted to buy something, but I was not able to access it. If staff is out for lunch, then they should remove the barrier.

The strangest shopping experience I had was at JapanHome. The cashier seemed impatient and unwilling to help when the card payment machine wasn’t working and the 10% membership discount wasn’t applied.

The Japan Home 'auntie' (ID 02) was uncooperative, refusing to issue a receipt after realizing they had calculated wrongly. Receipts should serve as proof of purchase, allowing us to verify what we bought and the amount paid. Without the receipt, I felt that the 'auntie' was not transparent or was trying to hide something from me, which is unprofessional and unreliable. I wondered if they were taking the money themselves or splitting it among their colleagues; it seemed like a scam to me. At that point, I even considered calling the police to intervene. After calling the Japan Home call center, I believe they should receive proper training or perhaps even be dismissed. I won't be shopping at Japan Home again. I wish I could give 0 stars on this review site.

Super bad service. I bought a permanent marker, but the staff didn't include it in my plastic bag. After getting home, I checked and realized my permanent marker was missing. I checked the receipt, and the permanent marker was listed on it. Staff, please don't talk on the phone while working. You can't focus on what you're doing. The marker cost only a dollar, but I bought it because I needed it so badly today. To other customers: please check your items before leaving the shop. The staff tend to not include all the items you bought.

Horrible cashiers. The discount voucher details had faded, so I asked the cashier to check. Their response was unfriendly and rude. I told them to give feedback to their bosses on this issue, and they simply ignored me.

Worst cashier service I've ever come across. I wanted to exchange the wrong-sized disposable travel underwear that I had bought. The packages were unopened and intact. The cashier just raised her voice and told me, "No exchanges for underwear." I told her these were disposable ones and still unopened. She kept repeating "no exchange" and kept talking to people who were outside the shop. I had to tell her to be respectful, as I had waited and approached her first. Also, I told her the Japan Home return policy stated that goods in original condition, accompanied by receipts, were eligible. She very reluctantly did the exchange for me, with a very displeased expression. Terrible customer service!!

Today I had a wonderful experience at Japan Home Lot One. I purchased an item at the store about 6 days ago. My family didn't like it, so I tried to return it. The staff at the counter asked me to exchange it. Upon seeing the refund policy on the website, I requested a refund. I received my refund. The two ladies at the counter were very helpful and generous.
