Went to mendon today to buy lunch. Ordered chicken soboru udon, which wasnt meant to be spicy, was very spicy. Tried to call the shop multiple times but no one picked up.

Menu photos and food served is totally different except the base category of things. Hotate is just scallop. Salmon is just scraps from sashimi. Putting it on top of ginger only cooks it so you get semi cooked sashimi when home. Totally not worth, can get much better elsewhere. Service not great too, kiosk issued queue but no queue indicator. Waiting area is crowded too

First time buying from this place, NEVER AGAIN!!
Got the chicken katsu curry don, paid extra for a season egg on the side. In the end, no season egg was given. Only found out about it when I reached home, thinking the egg was together in the curry.
Paid extra for nothing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! WHAT A SCAM!!
PORTION IS TERRIBLE.

Not worth buying. I ordered the chicken katsu don, and they got my order wrong even though they checked it before giving me the plastic bag (gave me the ebi fry don instead). Yes, although the ebi fry don cost more, I do not think it is even worth the price of the chicken katsu don that I paid for. I only got 2 small pieces of ebi furai that is about 80% batter and some eggs, which is not filling at all. They tasted fine though, which is why I am giving it 2 stars. However, I would advise looking for other food options if you are in Lot 1.

Avoid from patronizing this stall in Choa Chu Kang. My son got food poisoning from this stall and after asking for clinic medical compensation, they refused. Absolutely no compassion about the situation and took 2 months to reply the case.
Coming from the food industry myself, this is the most absurd decision they made. Henceforth, they deserve this 1 star review.
Attached is the reply they sent and if they are taking this matter seriously, they would have compensated. Complete discrepancy in that sentence.

Yesterday I bought a tray of salmon sushi for my granddaughter which her favorite. I was surprised that now it is price at $5.90 which was usually $8.90. She took one bit and threw out the whole piece. She told me that it tasted funny. I dare not try for I don't like salmon sushi. I went back to the stall and was told that the salmon is from Brazil instead of the usual source. I told them quality is important for the stall's reputation. I got my refund which is very sincere of them.

Do not buy from this stall
$6.80 for a mediocre food with pathetic portion 😏
Doubt the sushi and other food in the menu is good anyway 🙄
No wonder no queue …

Ordered the Zuki salmon don. The sashimi texture is coarse and does not taste nice at all. There is only one thinly sliced cucumber cut half. Could be more generous with cucumber. Will be my first and last order. Will not spend $12.80 again for this.

After consuming food from their outlet, fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with food poisoning. No compensation or goodwill gesture was offered.

I don't post bad review but i feel i had to. Price tag of sushi shows $3. I wanted to buy 2 boxes since it has 50%off for purchase of min. $6. Upon payment, the staff torn off the price tags and said the 2 boxes were wrongly tagged and asked for $3.90. Feels cheated I walked away.

Worst place to buy sushi,
Only give 1 packet of wasabi for 2 box of salmon.
When ask for another packet, auntie say store policy can only give 1

$6.80 just for a rice portion like that? Meat portion is very little too. Scam shop.

The udon is super good and affordable compared to most places. It's my favourite udon in the whole of Singapore actually. Please never close down. I love it so much.
