This is my regular spot for a kopi break—a perfect place to relax, read, and plan before and after my Taekwon-Do lessons. I really enjoy the service and the drinks here. A great environment to take a breather and stay focused!

Standard is consistently good for toasts, eggs and drinks. Kopi c kosong and teh c kosong are always on point and thick. They wake me up instantly and chased my headaches away. All I hope is prices remain the same for a long long time.

This is my first time ever leaving a review to express my distaste of the service that I had been provided. Bought 8 pieces kaya toast to go. Of the 8 toast that were given to me, 6 of them did not have a single piece of butter on them AT ALL. ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING. The cashier even confirmed with me “with butter ah” to which I obviously said yes multiple times “yes with butter”. The highlight of every kaya toast is literally the butter. 6 of them missing without even informing me is just ridiculous. I understand if you ran out of butter but since they knew I was a take away customer they just decided not to bother informing me and decided to instead keep quiet and pray customer don’t know. Guess what, I know. It did not help that I was already having a bad day and it was my first time in a year since I wanted to visit Ya Kun for some comfort food to cheer me up and feel better. Instead, NIGHT RUINED. Huge mistake coming back after not having this delicious Singaporean staple for 1 whole year at this outlet. The service provided was just unfathomable service provided by the team here. As a feedback to the incharge please, at least have the decency to inform me if any changes were to be made. Thanks for nothing

Came here during breakfast time, and got the food within 5 mins after ordering. The kaya toast butter was perfect, the soft egg was done well, and the tea drink was just my preference. Out of the so many outlets i went before, this one served particularly well.

Decent breakfast place, but as with all basement stalls, it's a bit squeezy. Ginger milk tea is a bit meh; I prefer the halia in Muslim stalls. Kaya butter toast is spot on. I tried the rendang chicken sandwich; it was too little chicken, to be honest, but the rendang tasted quite nice, though it wasn't very good value for money.

The place was dirty, with uncleaned tables and a lot of flies, and the yolks of all 4 soft-boiled eggs were solid.

This particular uncle at the Lot 1 outlet makes okay coffee. The toast is pathetic though (the bread has no fragrance; it's just slices of brown-colored bread. The kaya is super duper sweet, and the butter is very little. I had to top up 50 cents for extra butter).

Here's the edited review: At Ya Kun at Lot One, Choa Chu Kang, we dined in and had tea, coffee, toast, and two half-boiled eggs. I was so disappointed that the two half-boiled eggs were cold! 🤬 This Ya Kun at Lot One is getting more and more disappointing in its food quality.
