Beautiful and peaceful place. It's really huge and offers different kinds of seating areas to work and read in silence. The children's library on the top floor is a gem. An entire floor dedicated to children offers a reading space, a small play area, and a computer library. Highly recommended, especially for parents of little ones.

The newly renovated library in Lot One shopping mall has two floors. Seating space for studying is limited due to its small size.

This is a well-renovated library with excellent interior design, providing functional space for the community. It has a good vibe, offering cosy places for readers. I particularly liked the kid zone, which features many children's books and is easily accessible by toddlers due to its lower shelf heights. Additionally, there's a mini playground on Level 5, just beside the children's section. The library also boasts a large reading area and includes several programmes or meeting rooms. One can easily spend an entire afternoon here. It's also very convenient, located right next to Chua Chu Kang MRT.

The library was newly renovated in 2021 and now features many indoor plants and even a hydroponics display. Navigation is a little confusing, but it offers an ample selection for children and teens. There are many nice seating areas too. It's a great place to bring children for a day out with books, but prepare a carrier or bag for the piles of books everyone wants to borrow! 😆👍

I think the Choa Chu Kang Library is very spacious, especially upon entering. Once you walk past the fiction shelves, you’ll notice a seating area with six chairs around a round table. That’s a good place to work on your computers, study, and read. Beyond that, walking towards the window, you’ll notice a long table connected to the wall where multiple people can sit. That’s a really nice place for reading, studying, and working on your computers. The view from the window is also nice, though it depends on your seating position. They have a specific Malay section of books, which includes three small, curved alcoves, each accommodating about four to five people. A bit farther on, you’ll find a section with teen books, down a few steps, but it’s a really nice area. Past the teen section, you’ll see a staircase leading up. Ascending these stairs, you’ll find the children’s section. First, you’ll see the family and parenting section; then, to the right, the children’s books. Overall, I think the Choa Chu Kang Library is nice and spacious, and has a good selection of books. It also offers comfortable seating areas, making it a good place to read, study, and work on your computers.

I am writing to express my concern regarding an experience I had at your library recently. I was asked by a librarian to leave Level 5 because I was not accompanied by a child. However, I did not see any clear signage indicating that adults without children are not permitted in that area. I also noticed other adults present, which made the situation feel inconsistent and unfair. I fully respect the need for safety and appropriate use of designated spaces, especially those intended for children. However, I believe that any such restrictions should be clearly communicated with visible signage and enforced consistently. I would appreciate clarification on the policy regarding adult access to Level 5, and whether the rules are applied uniformly. I hope the library can consider clearer communication in the future to avoid misunderstandings like this.

Recently visited this library after several years of absence and was thoroughly impressed! The library was clean, silent, and calm, providing a peaceful atmosphere perfect for studying and learning. The modern and well-renovated facilities made it a joy to explore. What struck me most was the number of knowledge-seeking individuals who filled the space, all engaged in quiet contemplation or immersed in their books. The vast collection of books and resources was truly remarkable, and I noted that Reservation Lockers and Book Return have up-to-date touch-screen interfaces. Overall, I highly recommend it as a haven for anyone seeking knowledge, inspiration, or simply a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

I would like to share an incident that occurred during my recent visit to the library on 16 May 2025, at 14:45. I was alone and had just sat down on Level 5 to read a library book when a librarian approached me. She asked if I was waiting for someone, and when I said no, she told me I had to go to Level 4 to read, as Level 5 was the children’s section. I was taken aback, as I was quietly reading in a public space and did not see any clear signage that adults were not allowed. I explained to her that Level 4 was quite crowded and that I simply wanted a peaceful spot to read. However, she continued to ask me to leave, which disrupted the very peace I was seeking. I noticed afterward that there were several secondary school students walking around Level 5, which made me question why I was asked to leave while they were allowed to remain. While I understand that there are policies in place regarding adult presence in children’s areas, I feel the approach and inconsistency in enforcement were disappointing. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unfairly treated. I hope the library can clarify this policy and ensure that it is communicated clearly and respectfully to all patrons.

Pleased with my visit here and how clean, modern, and spacious the library is. Plenty of seating areas and even a Level 5 kids' area to entertain the kids. Great selection of books and a wide assortment of seats to accommodate many people. I also liked that borrowing a book via the NLB app was such a breeze!
