I am writing to leave a positive review for the hairstylist, Deren Teo, at the Chua Chu Kang Lot One outlet.
First, when I entered the shop, I did not have small change, and he immediately noticed it and assisted me while juggling another customer.
With a few customers ahead of me, he efficiently served them and was very accommodating. When it was my turn, he accommodated my request, knew how the haircut would fit whether short or long, and delivered a professional haircut result.
With his professionalism, enthusiasm, and positive attitude, I hope his effort is noticed, and that by writing this review, it may assist him with his career! :)

I visited this outlet on 24/6/24 at around 9 PM, and was served by hairstylist Kevin Huang. He was meticulous with the haircut and the end result was fantastic. Thank you for your service! Would recommend him to anyone who needs a haircut :)

Awesome services. The staff meticulously did my hair to perfection. Especially Mr. Andy, (Apologies if I've addressed you wrongly). I have been to multiple quick stop salons, and most of them rush you at peak times (especially 7-8pm Sunday night), but this gentleman carefully did it the way I wanted. Loved it. Cheers🫡🫡🫡

BEWARE of an extremely rude and unprofessional boomer woman working here. I've never met a stylist so rude before in my life! I asked for a quick trim, and before cutting my hair, she repeatedly insulted the condition of my hair in Chinese, passing it off as advice.
1) Nobody asked for your unsolicited advice.
2) Mind you, my hair is straight, soft, and in good condition.
3) I kept quiet despite her rude comments, so I'm not sure if she wanted to insult me because she was having a bad day or something.
She then proceeded to complain in Chinese to another male staff member about having to work late. The haircut was OK, but the female stylist's attitude was appalling. She is short, middle-aged, and has short brown curly hair. The haircut is also $14 now; I suggest those who read this take their money elsewhere.

Worst haircut experience of my life. The barber was very very slow, cut very roughly, and it even hurt because he was tearing my hair out with every pass. I instructed him to leave the top of my head untouched, yet he sheared off most of my hair and even had the gall to change the direction of my slope. Not to mention, he kept looking away during the cut and attending to other customers, leaving me sitting there waiting for him. I only wish he could replace my hair, because this experience was genuinely worse than any other haircut I’ve ever had, and for a higher price than usual to boot.

The price is now $14 after December 1st. The price hike is really a lot, exceeding the 8% GST.
I was served by Jessy Chan. She gives a good haircut and knows how to cut my hair according to my head shape and the style I want.
Overall, I am dropping one star due to the price hike. But Jessy's haircut is 5 stars.

One of the hairdressers here, a lady with a bob haircut, gave my sister a really bad haircut. She didn't understand simple instructions like 'cut above eyebrows' and 'cut 5cm length,' which is rather shameful because you're supposed to be a hairdresser. She also kept talking to her friends while cutting her hair. I know it's supposed to be an express hairdresser, and we can't expect similar treatment to that of a salon, but I think the hairdressers here should at least have the basic understanding of following the instructions a customer gives, since we're paying them money. If you don't even understand the meaning of 'cut above eyebrows' and 'cut 5cm,' then I personally don't think you should choose to be a hairdresser. If you don't respect your customer, then don't work in such a sector. Very disappointing. Even if we're students, it doesn't mean we should have a very short haircut—especially when it's cut to such an ugly style. This happened on 20 December, at 6:15 PM.

I never fail to have a bad haircut here; I've been going to this place countless times. Keep up the good work and great service!

Subject: Urgent Feedback Regarding Staff Conduct at Lot One (09/08/2025)
Dear [ec house] Owners or Manager,
I would like to provide urgent feedback regarding one of your staff members — a short-haired lady with yellow-silver hair — during my visit on 09/08/2025 at around 14:51.
Her behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. She displayed a poor attitude, had no patience, and even raised her voice at customers. When I brought my 3-year-old daughter for a simple fringe cut, she called out to me in a very angry tone (“Hello, Auntie!”) which was unnecessary and unpleasant.
As paying customers (I paid $14 for the haircut), we expect basic respect and service, not this kind of treatment. This experience completely spoiled our day. If such behavior continues, I believe more customers will be discouraged from visiting your shop.
I request a call from the manager or owner as soon as possible to address this matter.
Thank you for your attention.
