Hairdresser did not follow my instructions; specifically told her that the shortest part of the fringe has to be long enough so that it's touching the eyebrow, but she cut it around one inch shorter. So now the shortest part of my fringe is in the middle of my forehead, which is precisely what I did NOT want. Well done for not understanding your customer's needs, perhaps because you were chatting with your colleague the whole time? To be fair, I had a good experience here before, so perhaps it's just this particular staff.

I brought my elderly father, who uses a wheelchair, to EC House at Lot One Shopping Mall (#03-03) today (6/1/22) at about 2 PM, intending to get him a haircut. A Malay family (young parents and 2 kids) was in the queue. Two female barbers were serving two other customers inside the barbershop. As I pushed my dad to join the queue behind the Malay family, the two barbers looked out and stared at us unfriendlily. One of them walked out and asked if my dad would be sitting in his wheelchair for the haircut. I said yes, as he is disabled and unable to move independently. Immediately, she said they were unable to serve my dad because bending low was difficult for them! I was stunned, and she walked back into her shop. A while later, she walked out again and asked me to come back tomorrow! I was very disappointed with the way they treated a potential customer in such a rude and unfriendly way! Refusing to provide service to a disabled elderly man is truly unacceptable behavior! They were so inconsiderate and harsh! In fact, this is not the first time they have been rude to their customers! The previous time we visited, one lady (I'm not sure if it was the same person) who cut my dad's hair at this same barbershop (EC House at Lot One) was also very unfriendly and rude to my dad! I will never, ever go to EC House at Lot One anymore! Terrible attitude towards elderly people! Don't forget you will also get old one day! (A reminder to these two female barbers.)

Here's the edited review: "Like a typical chain, the service was fast and efficient. But, the problems with the shop seem to be the high turnover of hair stylists and inconsistent standards. Different hair stylists use different methods, even for the same hair design. I have always gone there because of its convenience and proximity to my location. During my last visit, the stylist was young and not presentable. I understand they were new and needed training. But, he was impatient, rough, and the worst thing is he didn't check the outcome of my hair. He was just doing his job and didn't care how the customer looked. The hair cleaning also wasn't thorough. There were so many hairs stuck on my neck and inside my collar. I hope this will be my last visit."

Went there to have a haircut for my son. While the nice uncle neatly cut my son's hair, the overall experience was terrible because of another hairdresser within the shop. He's a guy with tattoos on his arm and sporting a "bird's nest-like" hairstyle. After I paid for my elder son's haircut, I carried my younger child to the wooden bench inside. Another customer came later, and that "bird's nest" hairdresser shouted at me to give up my seat to him. Mind you, I'm also a paying customer, and I'm not impressed by your tattoos. TBH, if my children weren't with me, I would confront him directly. To that "bird's nest" hairdresser: if you want to act like a gangster, please try better.

The Chinese barber was very rude. He didn't even know what I wanted for my hairstyle. He even talked back to me using very rude language. Please kindly teach him basic customer service. Thank you.

I am writing to leave a positive review for the hairstylist, Deren Teo, at the Chua Chu Kang Lot One outlet. First, when I entered the shop, I did not have small change, and he immediately noticed it and assisted me while attending to another customer. With a few customers ahead of me, he attended to those customers and was very accommodating. When it was my turn, he accommodated my request and knew how the haircut would fit, whether short or long, and delivered a professional haircut result. With his professionalism, enthusiastic, and positive attitude, I hope his efforts are noticed, and I also hope this review may assist him with his career! :)

I visited this outlet on 24/6/24 at around 9pm, and was served by hairstylist Kevin Huang. He was meticulous with the haircut and the end result was fantastic. Thank you for your service! I would recommend him to anyone who needs a haircut.

Awesome service. The staff meticulously did my hair to perfection. Especially Mr. Andy (apologies if I've misidentified you). I have been to multiple quick-stop salons, and most of them rush you during peak times (especially 7-8 PM Sunday night), but this gentleman carefully did it the way I wanted. Loved it. Cheers🫡🫡🫡

BEWARE of an extremely rude and unprofessional boomer woman working here. I've never met a stylist so rude before in my life! I asked for a quick trim, and prior to cutting my hair, she started to repeatedly insult the condition of my hair in Chinese, passing it off as advice. 1) Nobody asked for your unsolicited advice. 2) Mind you, my hair is straight, soft, and in good condition. 3) I kept quiet despite her rude comments, so I'm not sure if she wanted to insult me because she was having a bad day or something. She then proceeded to complain in Chinese to another male staff member that she had to work until late. The haircut was OK, but the female staff's attitude was appalling. She is short, middle-aged, and has short, brown, curly hair. The haircut is also $14 now. I suggest those who read this take their money elsewhere.
