Hairdresser did not follow my instructions; specifically told her that the shortest part of the fringe has to be long enough so that its touching the eyebrow, but she cut it around one inch shorter. so now the shortest part of my fringe is in the middle of my forehead, which is precisely what i did NOT want. well done for not understanding your customer's needs, perhaps because you were chatting with your colleague the whole time?
to be fair i had a good experience here before, so perhaps its just this particular staff.

I brought my old age dad who is on wheelchair to EC House at Lot One shopping Mall (#03-03) today (6/1/22) at about 2pm, intend to have a hair cut for my dad.
There was this Malay family( young parents and 2 kids) who are in the queue; 2 female barbers were serving another 2 customers in the barber shop; while I pushed my dad to join the queue behind the Malay family, the two barbers looked out and kept staring at us unfriendly, one of them walked out and asked me whether my dad will be sitting on the wheelchair to have the hair cut? I said yes as he is disabled to move, immediately she said they are not able to serve my dad as bending low is difficult to them! I Stunned and she walked back to her shop; a while later she walked out again and asked me to come back tomorrow!
I was very very disappointed to the way they treat their potential customer in this rude and unfriendly way! Refused to provide service to a disabled old man is really an unacceptable behavior! They are so inconsiderate and harsh!
In fact, this is not the first time they are being rude to their customer! The previous time we visited, one lady (not sure whether was the same lady) who cut hair for my dad at this same barber shop (EC House at Lot One) , also very unfriendly and rude to my dad!
I will never never go to EC House at Lot One any more!
Terrible attitude to old people! Don't forget you will also get old one day!!! (Reminder to these two female barbers)

As usual chain, fast and efficient service. But, the problems with the shop must be turn over of hair stylist and improper standard. Different Hair Stylist different method even in same hair design.
I always been there because convenience and near to my location. Last few days, the stylist was young and not in presentable. I understand newbie and need to train. But, He is impatient , rough and the worst things is he didn't see how is the outcome of customer hair. He just doing his job and didn't care how the customer look like.
Cleaning of the hair also wasn't throughout. there are so many hair stick on my neck and inside.
Hope this will be last visit .

Went there to have a haircut for my son. While the nice uncle did the haircut my son neatly, the overall experience was terrible because of another hairdresser within the shop, he's a guy with tattoos on his arm and spotting a "birdnest" alike hairstyle. After I made payment for my elder son to get his haircut, I carried my younger child to the wooden bench inside. There was another customer who came later and that birdnest hairdresser shouted at me to give up my seat to him. Mind you, I'm also a paying customer, and I'm also not impressed by your tattoos. TBH, if my children are not with me, I'll confront him directly. To that birdnest hairdresser, if you want to act like a gangster, please try better.

BEWARE of an extremely rude and unprofessional boomer woman working here. I've never met a stylist so rude before in my life! Asked for a quick trim and prior to cutting my hair she started to repeatedly insult the condition of my hair in Chinese, passing it off as advice. 1) Nobody asked for your unsolicited advice, 2) Mind you, my hair is straight, soft and in good condition, 3) I kept quiet despite her rude comments so not sure if she wanted to insult me because she was having a bad day or something.
She then proceeded to complain in Chinese to another male staff that she has to work till late. Haircut was OK but female staff's attitude was appalling. She is short, middle-aged and has short brown curly hair. Haircut is also $14 now, suggest those who read this to take your money elsewhere.

Worst haircut experience of my life. Barber was very very slow, cut very roughly and it even hurt because he was tearing my hairs out with every pass. Instructed him to leave the top of my head untouched, yet he sheared off most of my hair and even had the gall to change the direction of my slope. Not to mention he kept looking away during the cut and attending to other customers, leaving me sitting there waiting for him. I only wish he could replace my hair, because this experience was genuinely worse than any other haircut I’ve ever had, and for a higher price than usual to boot.

one of the hairdresses here, a lady with a bob haircut, gave my sister a really bad haircut. she didn't understand simple instructions like cut above eyebrows and cut 5cm length, which is kinda shameful because you're supposed to be a hairdresser. she also kept talking to her friends while cutting her hair. i know its supposed to be a express hairdresser and we can't expect similar treatment to that of a salon, but i think the hairdressers here should at least have the basic understanding of following the instructions a customer gives, since we're paying them money. if you don't even understand the meaning of cut above eyebrows and cut 5cm, then i personally don't think you should choose to be a hairdresser. If you don't respect your customer, then don't work in such a sector. very disappointing. even if we're students, it doesn't mean we should have a very short haircut- especially when it's cut to such an ugly style. Happened on 20 December, 6:15pm.

Subject: Urgent Feedback Regarding Staff Conduct on 09/08/2025 Lot One brands
Dear [ec house cut hair stylist owners or Manager],
I would like to give urgent feedback regarding one of your staff members — a short-haired lady with yellow-silver hair — during my visit on 09/08/2025 at around 14:51PM.
Her behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. She displayed a poor attitude, had no patience, and even raised her voice at customers. When I brought my 3-year-old daughter for a simple fringe cut, she called out to me in a very angry tone (“Hello, Auntie!”) which was unnecessary and unpleasant.
As paying customers (I paid $14 for the haircut), we expect basic respect and service, not this kind of treatment. This experience completely spoiled our day. If such behavior continues, I believe more customers will be discouraged from visiting your shop.
I request a call from the manager or owner as soon as possible to address this matter.
Thank you for your attention.

Like a typical chain, the service was fast and efficient. However, the problems with the shop seem to be the high turnover of hair stylists and inconsistent standards. Different hair stylists use different methods, even for the same hair design.
I have always gone there because of its convenience and proximity to my location. On my most recent visit, the stylist was young and not very presentable. I understand they were new and needed training. However, he was impatient and rough, and the worst thing was that he didn't check the outcome of my hair. He was just doing his job and didn't seem to care how the customer looked.
The cleanup of the hair also wasn't thorough. There were so many hairs stuck on my neck and inside my clothes.
I hope this was my last visit.

Am writing in to leave a positive review for the hairstylist, Deren Teo, at the Chua Chu Kang Lot One outlet.
First when i entered the shop, i did not have small change and immediately he was able to noticed it and assisted me while juggling with another customer on hand
With a few customers ahead of me, he was able to deliver to those customers and was very accommodating. When it was my turn, he was able to accommodate to my request and was able to know how the hair cut would fit if its short/long and was able to deliver a professional haircut result in the end.
With his professionalism, enthusiastic and positive attitude, i hope his effort can be noticed and also hope that by writing in this review, it may assist him with his career as well! :)

Awesome services. The staff meticulously did my hair to the perfection I wanted. Especially Mr. Andy, (Apologies if I've addressed you wrongly). I have been to multiple quick stop saloons, and most of them rush you at these peak (especially 7-8pm Sunday night), but this gentleman carefully did it the way I wanted. Loved it.
